Best food of our holiday in Mexico so far

We went to unico after reading the reviews on trip advisor and were so glad we did. It took several attempts to find it – it’s on the road to Coba just after the big junction with Tulum main road. But this is the only downside – the food was amazing and the service excellent.

We had hamburger ( excellent) and mussels in white wine sauce which were as good as any I’ve had in France. The chef from New York totally understood when we asked for a gluten free option for our daughter who is coeliac and happily did us carrot soup with fried potatoes ( fresh oil).

My strawberry daiquiri was In a huge glass and they have a very good wine list which our waiter was very knowledgeable about.

Price wise we paid the same as we did the night before for a very average meal on the main Tulum strip by the beach so it’s incredibly good value considering the quality of the food. Well worth the drive/ short taxi trip.
