“Tasty and attentive”

My sister took us to Unico because she noticed it high on the TripAdvisor rankings in town. We decided to see if it was worthy of the praise and were pleasantly surprised by the tasty food and extremely attentive service.

The chipotle infused hummus was a great way to greet us. The beet and goat cheese salad was quite good as a starter, as was an interesting spicy chicken starter I can’t remember the name of. The rosemary chicken dish I had was very moist, if a bit bland. However the dishes my family shared with me were exceptional.

We will be back. Check it out.

“Perfect!!!”

We found this restaurant at tripadvisor and decided to give it a try. It was simply perfect: the food was one of the best we’ve ever had. Service was also very good and we really enjoyed a beautiful evening. It is at the end of the town and not in the center. But it’s really worth to give that restaurant a try- we would also recommend to come there if you stay at one of the hotels next to the sea. You surely won’t be disappointed.
The warm chocolate cake is a must :-)
Thank you uniqo for this evening- you really made our day!

“Go here. You won’t regret it!”

We went to Unico for dinner because of the great reviews and have to say that we don’t regret it for a second. It truly is a gem. Like so many others who have been here we also ordered the goat cheese for a starter and lobster ravioli for a main course – and again I have to repeat what others have said before us: wow. The food is exceptional and so is the service. You feel welcome here, you feel at ease.
I can’t recommend this place highly enough, I really liked it!

“Great food”

We had a great dinner at Unico! The dishes were all very good, accompanied by nice wine. The zucchini starter and the chicken main were both very nice, congratulation to the chef! Certainly a nice cozy place to have a great dinner, as long as the surrounding area does not bother you, but why should it if you focus on your plates?

“Not to be missed!”

Unico is a nice little restaurant few steps away from Tulum’s main road. The location is not the best, since from the terrace you can see only a dark road, but the food and the great service really make the difference. The server spoke fluent English and spent some time chatting with us at the end of the dinner, which…

“The best in Tulum”

Amazing food, great service, great host!!! I go to Tulum 5 times a year… Definitly the best restaurant in town!! I strongly recommend the “Pargo fish”

“A lovely food experience!”

Fresh food, nice sized portions, definitely glad I decided to eat here. Would definitely come back! Service was unfaulted as well.

“New restaurant, great food!”

This is a fairly new place, was only open a few months when we ate there. We started with an appetizer of goat cheese which is rolled into balls with a crispy outside and drizzled with honey – not to be missed!! I tried the ravioli which is unusal for me and was not disappointed. Don’t let the green pea sauce scare you away. My husband had the snapper and it was also great. The chef came out to our table and greeted us and took an interest in our meal. This is a new place, ambience could be better, but the presentation of the dishes and excellence of food makes the location worth it!! Delicious, definately a “do over.”

“Outstanding service and excellent food!!”

I dined with two girlfriends on the last night of an extended weekend. Having had enough nacho chips, I read the reviews on Trip Advisor, and we decided to give the restaurant a try. The atmosphere is simple, but clean and bright, and the focus here is on food.

Our server was excellent. He was friendly, engaging, knowledgeable about the menu, and spoke excellent English. Each of us ordered a glass of wine, and we were given a very generous pour.

Our meal started with the chipotle hummus and foccacia. The three of us devoured the appetizers. Then, we moved on to the goat cheese balls with honey. They were absolutely delicious. We ordered the lobster ravioli, and the sea bass and we shared those entrees. Again, both dishes were perfectly prepared with top quality ingredients. Moreover, the portion sizes were generous.

For dessert, we shared the lava cake, which was also wonderful.

During our meal, Brian, the owner and chef, came out to greet us. He is warm and friendly, and wants to please his customers. He even told my friend he could bake her challah when she is in town.

This is a can’t miss restaurant in the area.

“Great food and service in Tulum!”

My daughter recommended Unico for dinner so I went there with her and a friend and had a wonderful dinner. The fried Goat cheese and the grilled Octopus appetizers were delicious. We had the Local Sea Bass, Caribbean Red Snapper and the Homemade Cheese Burger, all of which were excellently prepared from fresh local ingredients and served by the Chef. Brian and his wife have started a great little restaurant that definitely deserves a try the next time you are in Tulum.
